What Does “QC-Tested” Mean for a Paver Sealer?

A paver sealer must be more than a formula on paper. Contractors need each pail to behave consistently during dilution, pumping, spraying, drying and film formation. That requires controlled manufacturing and documented batch testing.

Quality control begins with traceability

Raw materials, additives, batch timing and manufacturing steps should be recorded so the finished product can be connected to the materials and process used to make it. Traceability helps a manufacturer investigate variation and improve repeatability.

Key finished-product checks

  • Viscosity indicates how the liquid flows under the specified test method and can reveal meaningful batch variation.
  • pH confirms that an aqueous system falls within its established operating range.
  • Density or specific-gravity testing compares mass to a controlled volume and helps detect formulation or measurement differences.
  • Solids testing estimates the portion of the product that remains after volatile components are removed under the specified method.
  • Gloss measurements quantify reflected light at defined angles on a prepared test surface.
  • Appearance and odor checks identify visible contamination, color variation, separation or other abnormalities.

Test methods must remain consistent

A number has little meaning without the method used to obtain it. Cup size, temperature, instrument, cure time, substrate and film thickness can all affect results. Seal ’n Lock uses defined procedures and ranges so results can be compared from batch to batch.

What QC can and cannot do

QC provides a consistent product starting point. It cannot correct excessive substrate moisture, incompatible existing coatings, incorrect dilution, poor preparation or uncontrolled field application.

Manufacturer involvement matters

Seal ’n Lock is focused on paver-sealing systems. Ownership participates directly in quality assurance, and every batch is evaluated for consistent results. That focus supports the professional contractor who depends on predictable material from one project to the next.

Reliable outcomes come from QC-tested product used within a complete professional process: correct diagnosis, correct preparation, controlled material application and final inspection.
