PRO Series paver sealer from Seal ’n Lock

Two-component chemistry. Maximum gloss.

PRO Max Gloss 2K is a professional waterborne urethane system engineered for maximum gloss, deep color enhancement, durable joint stabilization and demanding exterior service. Its two-component chemistry develops a crosslinked protective finish.

Unlike the one-component PRO sealers, Max Gloss 2K is mixed on site from Part A resin and Part B activator at an approved 4:1 volume ratio, completely, before adding water. System solids are 43% by weight. Mixed material has a working time and can never be stored.

01

Prepare the surface

The surface must be clean, sound and free of contaminants or incompatible coatings. Apply to properly prepared pavers with no standing water. Failing, peeling or incompatible coatings must be removed before resealing.

02

Premix, then combine Part A and Part B

Premix both components. Combine Part A and Part B at the approved 4:1 volume ratio and mix mechanically for approximately two minutes. Dilute only after the system is completely mixed.

03

Dilute for the flood coat, then the top coat

Flood coat: 1 part mixed sealer to 3 parts clean water. Finish/top coat: 1 part mixed sealer to 1 part clean water. Coverage is up to 1,200 square feet per complete kit after the recommended dilution.

04

Work inside the pot life

Use mixed material within 2 hours, or 3 hours maximum under favorable conditions. Pot life starts when A+B are combined. Never store mixed material. After a tack-free cure, typical return to foot traffic is approximately 4 hours and vehicle traffic 48 hours.

Read before you seal

Safety and maintenance.

This is a two-component system with a separate safety data sheet for each part. Download and review the TDS and both SDS documents before use.

Never store mixed material

Once Part A and Part B are combined the system begins to crosslink and the pot life starts. Use it within 2 hours, or 3 hours maximum under favorable conditions, and mix only what the crew can apply in that window.

Traction

Any coating can change surface traction, especially when wet. Use PRO-Traction in the final coat where increased wet-surface traction is needed, particularly on pool decks, walkways and other wet-use areas. Always test the completed system.

Mix before diluting

Dilute only after Part A and Part B are completely mixed. Diluting either component on its own will not develop the crosslinked film.

Two dilution rates

The flood coat and the top coat use different dilutions: 1 part mixed sealer to 3 parts water for the flood coat, and 1:1 for the top coat.

Sealing over a coating

Confirm compatibility and adhesion on a small test area before sealing over any existing coating.

Before you commit the job

Test it on the surface first.

Absorption changes with the paver, its age and whatever was sealed on it before, and that drives both the finish and how much material the job takes. Test a small area on the actual surface, confirm compatibility and adhesion, then price the work knowing what you will get.
