PRO Series paver sealer from Seal ’n Lock

Protect and stabilize without changing the character of the surface.

PRO Natural 1K is a professional-grade waterborne paver sealer for customers who want joint stabilization and exterior protection while preserving the natural character of the surface. Its low-sheen finish minimizes color change and avoids the heavily coated appearance associated with high-gloss sealers.

At 30% solids by weight it is the lowest-sheen sealer in the PRO line, with limited color enhancement and a more natural appearance than PRO Semi-Gloss 1K or PRO High-Gloss 1K. Build to the desired level of protection and appearance with additional coats.

01

Prepare the surface

The surface must be clean, sound and free of contaminants or incompatible coatings. Suitable for properly prepared damp pavers when standing water is absent. Failing, peeling or incompatible coatings must be removed before resealing.

02

Mix and dilute

Mix thoroughly before use, approximately two minutes, then apply the approved 1 part clean water to 1 part sealer dilution for both the flood coat and the finish coats.

03

Flood and stabilize

Apply an adequate flood coat so the sealer penetrates and stabilizes properly prepared joints. Apply uniformly and avoid puddling and standing water.

04

Build the finish

Apply the number of coats needed to reach the desired level of protection and appearance. Do not exceed four finish coats after the flood coat, and allow the preceding coat to become dry to the touch before recoating. Typical coverage is approximately 750 to 850 square feet per 5-gallon pail including the specified dilution; actual coverage varies with absorption and joint width. Apply PRO-Traction in the final coat where additional wet-surface traction is required.

05

Return to service

After confirming a tack-free cure, typical return to foot traffic is approximately 12 hours and vehicle traffic 48 hours. Weather and film thickness can extend these times.

Read before you seal

Safety and maintenance.

Download and review the current TDS and SDS before use. The TDS contains application requirements; the SDS contains hazard, PPE, first-aid, storage and disposal information.

Traction

Any coating can change surface traction, especially when wet. Apply PRO-Traction in the final coat where increased wet-surface traction is required, particularly on pool decks, walkways and other wet-use areas. Always test the completed system.

Sealing over an existing coating

Seal over an existing coating only after confirming compatibility and adhesion with a small test area. Failing, peeling or incompatible coatings must be removed before resealing.

Absorption

Pavers with a high absorption rate will require additional coats to reach the desired level of protection and appearance.

Avoid puddling

Apply uniformly and avoid puddling and standing water, which can leave an uneven finish.

Storage

Shelf life is 12 months when properly stored.

Before you commit the job

Test it on the surface first.

Absorption changes with the paver, its age and whatever was sealed on it before, and that drives both the finish and how much material the job takes. Find a distributor, try it on the actual surface, then price the work knowing what you will get.
