A slip-resistant additive for the final coat, where wet traction matters most.
PRO-Traction is a fine polymer traction additive designed to increase wet-surface traction when used with the final coat of compatible Seal ‘n Lock sealer. It is especially useful on pool decks, walkways, steps, and smooth or dense surfaces where additional wet-surface traction is desired.
It can be mixed into or broadcast with the final coat according to the current Application Guide, so it remains effective at the wearing surface. PRO-Traction can improve traction, but no coating or additive can eliminate slip risk. Application rate, surface profile, maintenance and site conditions all affect performance.
Benefits
How to apply it.
Read the application guide before you start. Timing matters more than quantity with this product.
Seal as normal, up to the final coat
Apply the flood coat and any intermediate finish coats exactly as the sealer’s own technical data sheet specifies. PRO-Traction plays no part until the last coat.
Add or broadcast with the final coat
Add or broadcast PRO-Traction only with the final coat, so it remains effective at the wearing surface. Added earlier, it ends up buried under sealer and stops doing its job.
Keep it even
Application rate and surface profile both affect performance. Work to a consistent rate across the area so traction does not vary from one section to the next.
Test the completed system
Always test the completed system. Traction depends on the whole build — sealer, additive, surface and maintenance — not the additive alone.
PRO-Traction can improve traction, but no coating system can eliminate slip risk. Application rate, surface profile, maintenance and site conditions all affect performance.

Test it on the surface first.
Traction depends on the sealer, the additive rate, the surface profile and how the area is maintained. Build a test section with the same system you intend to install, walk it wet, then commit.
